Who is Tananarive Due?
Tananarive Due has authored or co-authored a dozen novels and a civil rights memoir. She has won an American Book Award and an NAACP Image Award. She is also an experienced writing teacher who coaches writers privately and has taught in the M.F.A. in Creative Writing program at Antioch University Los Angeles.

Who is Steven Barnes?
Steven Barnes is also an award-winning author and world-class writing instructor who has taught at the UCLA Extension and L.A.'s Screenwriting Expo. He is Tananarive's husband and writing partner. Together, they have co-authored the Tennyson Hardwick mystery series in partnership with actor Blair Underwood.
